"I don't make the rules, I just follow them."

Unidentified TAU agent.

TAU

The acronym T-A-U stands for Technological Activities Unit, and TAU takes its job very seriously.  Dedicated to preserving the technological purity of the various cultures found within the universe, TAU often finds itself at odds with the other agencies.  The agents don't mind.  They're used to it.

The immortal Head of TAU is Athena, who's known for her hard-nose, no nonsense approach.  She believes in the rules, and enforcing them with an iron fist.

Crimson Sash

Once a metahuman vigilante group on Earth, Sash has expanded its reach into the metaverse with a vengeance.  Its primary mission is to protect the innocent from rogue mages, but its agents are just as dedicated to seeking out evidence of Cen incursions into human territory.  To be a Sash agent, one must also be a mage.  And only the best of the best.

Heading Sash is the immortal, Fenris Wolf, Loki's only surviving experiment from his earliest attempts to create super-human heroes..

Bane

Bane agents do double duty, both as bodyguards and as assassins.  In hand to hand or archaic weapons combat, only TAU agents are their equal, though Bane agents are also quite well versed in the use of firearms and more advanced weaponry.

Bane is Headed by the vampire, Raven.  Skeptic, Mage, and warrior, Raven is one of the most formidable examples of his kind in the metaverse.

Triwar Guild

Many other agents look down upon this smuggler's guild as nothing but war-mongers out for profit.  But the Guild's argument is that sometimes good weapons can tip the balance of power when it's most vital to those who suffer under tyranny or slavery.

In charge of Triwar you'll find the enigmatic Kali, Queen of the Goblins.  Also known as the "many-armed attack bitch."  Few people mess with Kali.

Knights of Anarchy

While the guild supplies weapons to those who fight a revolution, the KOA operates behind the scenes, providing intelligence, training, and, occasionally, a charismatic leader to whip the populace into a frenzy.  KOA agents live for political intrigue and thrive in environments that would drive others mad.

At the Head of the KOA is Morrigan, immortal assassin and Mage.  Many of her peers still regard her with a great deal of suspicion, but Morrigan's all right.

Havoc

When the locals don't have what it takes to win a war against overwhelming odds, this mercenary company is exactly what they need.  In the face of destruction, a Havoc merc simply laughs and digs in.  Never surrender, never retreat, and never leave anything behind--be it a companion, a weapon, or a techie toy.

Havoc's Commander is the cyborg psi, Scorpio.  A veteran of a thousand campaigns on a hundred worlds, few living know as much about battle as he does.

Stewards

When the immortals found Starhaven, the stewards were already there, a race of psychic albino women who keep the place running smoothly, no matter who's in charge.  That's their job and they like it that way.  Still, they harbor secrets the immortals and the other agencies only dream of acquiring.

The Stewards elect a new Head every ten years.

Magitech

If you're looking to purchase the newest and flashiest gear, Magitech should be your first stop.  With miraculous items combining the newest advances in magic and technology, Magitech is the place to get what you need to do your job.  Discounts available for active agents every day.  Custom orders welcome.

The Head of Magitech is the mage-engineer known only as Artificer.

Mirage

When something needs done that no one else can do, the agencies look to Mirage to accomplish the impossible.  Headed by the fierce and powerful Jasmine Tashae, Mirage is the absolute cream of the interworld crop.  When the job requires a little something extra, only the weird will do.

Leading the maniacs of Mirage is the singularly dangerous Lady of Blades, the one and only Jasmine Tashae, generally considered one of the most beautiful women to have ever lived.

Hex

If you ask another agent what Hex does, you'll receive a shrug in reply, though most are able to guess that Hex and Mirage work in tandem more often than not.  Sometimes it's difficult to see where Mirage ends and Hex begins.  Either way, it pays to avoiding pissing off either agency.

Heading Hex is the deceptively innocent-looking and remarkably deadly Nyx Deathweb, Jasmine Tashae's lover and sworn companion.

The Immortal High Court of Realities

The immortal Heads of Agency sit together on a council known as the High Court, a meeting of the minds that has, so far, prevented anything approaching open warfare between the various agencies, despite their often huge differences of opinion and policy.

The High Court is the brain child of ArchAngel, an immortal from Earth Prime who, after losing his own body, placed his consciousness inside an android shell.  Though one of the younger immortals, ArchAngel is one of the wisest, and gifted with the ability to see and calculate probabilities and make the impossible happen on a regular basis
