Imagine a web of Earths

Stretching across Infinity.

 A myriad of worlds

reflecting infinite possibility

On one Earth, a single shot takes out an important political figure.  In another, the shot misses by a fraction, condemning that same figure to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.  But he lives, and time splits to form another universe entirely.

On something as small as a single life  might a universe turn.

There are Earths on which the great meteor strike that ended the dynasty of the great lizards never happened, worlds on which small, intelligent reptiles became the dominant species.

There are worlds on which humans evolved, but migrated differently, and new civilizations were born.  There are worlds on which our simian ancestors did not descend from the trees, and instead, in North America, creatures very much like our own raccoons climbed down and began to build a brand new world.

Our story begins on a world known as Earth Prime, the very Earth that a group of refugee immortals fled to after the destruction of their home world at the hands of the vicious and voracious alien Cen.

A world much like our own.

This is Infinity: Earth.  A futuristic urban fantasy series by author Saje Williams. A world teetering on the brink of destruction, an Earth whose salvation lies in the hands of the oddest bunch of characters you'll ever meet.

The old gods of mythology are still with us.  But they're not gods.  They're immortal refugees from a universe on the far side of probability.  They fled the destruction of their home world and have taken up residence on the world known to them as Earth Prime.  After twenty-five millennia, their old enemy has finally caught up with them.

A handful of these immortals are all that stand between the human race and enslavement--or worse.  But not if Loki can help it.  Defying the will of the other immortals, he sets out to create human allies for the coming war.

One hitch.  They don't call Loki the "Father of Monsters" for nothing.

Beyond Infinity: Earth comes the Cen War, truly the "War to end all wars."  From the ashes and rubble left after the war, the new human race rises to build something truly astonishing.  These are the images of Infinity: Empire.  A broken Earth, reborn, set to leap out amongst the stars and bring magic and wonder to the galaxy.

And on another world, in a dimension outside of time, a new civilization is also born, one dedicated to making sure what happened on Earth Prime will never happen again.  One dedicated to the preservation of sentient life in all its myriad of forms, and the ultimate defeat of the Cen Empire.

Infinity: Past, Present, and Future

Infinity: Earth

First came "Loki's Sin," where humanity is changed forever.  In "Of Man and Monster," a young man sacrifices his life, but not his humanity, to save the people he loves.  In "Freak City" the first werewolf is caught between searching for his stolen friend and pursuing the woman of his dreams.  "Lady of Blades," tells the story of Jasmine Tashae, whose very existence rewrites the destiny of the immortals forever.

Infinity: Prime

The Cen War came dangerously close to destroying Earth Prime but for the tremendous sacrifices of heroes both human and otherwise.  Now, in a universe quite unlike the others, in a place outside of normal time, and beyond ordinary space, the immortals gather, building an elite force dedicated to the preservation of not only humanity in its many guises, but all forms of sentient life.  These interworld agencies not only stand guard against the Cen Empire, but against anyone or anything that might threaten whole worlds.

"Sword and Shadow" introduces us to the vampire Raven.  Loner, war hero, and perpetual teenager--driven by his own shadow to the most backwater Earth he could find.  But even the vampire whose very power is going unseen can hide from the fates.  And they have plans for him.

"Death of Heroes" tells the story of Morrigan, immortal assassin and party girl and how, quite against her will, she finally finds the one thing that can tame her wild heart.  In the midst of a mission to prevent a war between ordinary humanity and the super-powered, Morrigan is forced to face her demons and decide once and forever who she is, and who she'll be tomorrow.

Infinity: Empire

"Tales from the Magitech Lounge" is my favorite novel so far.  It's about a group of outsiders who form a strange family based in a nightclub just off of Haight Street in 23rd Century San Francisco.

I love all my novels, but this one holds a special place in my heart.  Once you pick it up and read it, you'll know why.

News

Spring has sprung.  Finally.  My  body, which has grown increasingly unable to maintain my body temperature, is so much easier to deal with in warmer weather.  My physical therapist has told me that I'll be lucky to avoid arthritis in my back as I get older because of my misspent youth.  You know, the payment due because of my absurd belief in my own invulnerability as a teenager.

Lovely.

If anything, this bit of unwelcome truth has prodded me into taking the job of self-promotion (my least favorite part of being an author) a lot more seriously.

With that in mind, I've started a new blog.  It'll be about writing, but a whole lot more.  Basically musings on the world in general.  Media, writing, people, and all sorts of fun stuff.

My Blog

And, just in case you were worried about it, it'll be apolitical.  Sure, there will be some social observations, but nothing overtly political.  I'm burned out on the subject these days.  The Democratic primary has left me annoyed and disgusted and that's all I have to say about that.

It's been hard to focus on writing lately.  The stories haven't been coming to the surface lately and now matter how loud I yell, I can't quite seem to rouse my muse.

That too will pass.  Eventually.  I can feel my subconscious working over different ideas, so I know my dry spell won't last all that much longer.

Fear not. It's only a matter of time before there's something else coming down the pipeline.  Hard to say whether it'll be Infinity: Prime or Infinity: Empire, as of yet, but it'll be one of the two.

Now go read my blog.  And buy a book.  You know you want to.

;)

Until next time,

Be Well,

Infinity: Prime

Infinity: Empire

The operatives of the Interworld agencies are the elite forces dedicated to protecting humanity.  As long as they're home on Starhaven, they do not age.  Their equipment makes the devices used by a certain double-ought British Spy look like toys.  Mages, warriors, healers, and engineers, the agents of Starhaven are a unique breed, no matter which Earth they once called home.

When things get hairy and people find themselves in the most dire circumstances imaginable, the knock on the door in the dead of the night might not be the monsters at all.  It might be a troop of raving weirdoes with rockets in their pockets and Aces up their sleeves.

Strap in and hold on.  The ride promised by Infinity: Prime is the kind that'll leave you with the edge of your seat permanently indenting itself on your backside.

The 23rd Century Earth Prime and its colonies.  The Confederation of Human Worlds.  Liberty and freedom, guarded and defended by the immortal Deryk Shea, his Adjuster's Office, and a fleet of magic-wielding starships.

From a small nightclub just off Haight Street in San Francisco to the Hall of Justice somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, then far out into the galaxy--the novels of Infinity: Empire will reveal new worlds of imagination combining science fiction and fantasy in ways you might have never imagined.

Explore a universe where crimes are investigated by forensic necromancers AND forensic scientists, where a trial merely determines punishment, not guilt, and justice is neither blind nor stupid.

Welcome to the Confed.  Enjoy your stay.
